I have been teaching at Northern Burlington since 2013, and I couldn’t be happier about it. I went to high school at Burlington Township High School, and have been living in Burlington County for my entire life. I went to Rowan University for my undergraduate studies and graduated with a B.S. in biological science as well as a B.A. K-12 Education.
Currently, I teach science for 7th graders. My goal as a science teacher is to create and foster a passion for science related topics by making science fun and relatable to all students. In order to stimulate this passion, I try to have a stimulating atmosphere where students are challenged to solve real world problems creatively and collaboratively. I find that the students learn best by completing hands-on activities that not only teach science concepts but also problem solving as well.
In addition to my time in the classroom, I am very active in extracurricular activities as well. Since starting at Northern I have coached all three seasons every year. In the fall I am an assistant football coach. In the winter I coach wrestling at the middle school and in the spring I coach track at the middle school. I love coaching and it has really made me feel like part of the Greyhound community to be so actively involved in the athletics!
