I am a born and bred Mainer! After high school, I earned my degree at the University of Maine at Farmington. I spent nine years teaching and coaching at Sanford High School in southern Maine. Since I had married a jersey girl, we decided to move south with our daughters in the fall of 2003. It has been a pleasure to teach at Northern since that time.
I really enjoy teaching at Northern Burlington. Over the course of my career I have had the opportunity to teach a vast range of courses from Pre-Algebra to Pre-Calculus. I have been asked many times, “Do you ever get tired of teaching the same thing year after year?” While I do teach math each year, I really consider myself as a teacher of kids first. Each class is unique. I feel so lucky to have worked with literally thousands of kids over the course of my career, both in and outside of the classroom. They keep me young!
In addition, I have coached numerous sports including: basketball, baseball, golf, football, tennis, and cross-country. I am grateful for all of these opportunities to forge lifetime friendships with former players and coaches. During the summer I work at Old York CC. In my free time I spend as much time as possible with my daughters, Sarah and Maresa. And of course, I get back to Maine frequently!
