I’m a seventh grade English language arts teacher on the Dream Catchers team at the middle school. I am also a co-advisor for the Paw Prints journalism club and an instructor in the extended day learning program. I hold a master of arts in teaching degree, graduated summa cum laude with a bachelor of arts from Fairleigh Dickinson University, and am a member of Phi Theta Kappa, Alpha Mu Gamma, and Phi Omega Epsilon honor societies. I am currently enrolled in the educational leadership doctoral program at Rowan University. I grew up in neighboring Bordentown City and love Northern’s close-knit sense of community.
When I’m not teaching or studying I enjoy creativity in all forms and like to write, paint, tinker, act, and sing. Before becoming a teacher, I worked for years in various toy companies as well an international giant in the flavor and fragrance industry. I was a product manager and enjoyed the creative ideation, design, and even marketing work associated with product development. I left the corporate world to pursue teaching career in the hopes of leaving a lasting impression upon future generations and to share my experiences with the leaders of tomorrow. It has been the thrill of my life and perhaps the best choice that I have ever made. It is a true pleasure to be a part of the Northern family.
