Hello, my name is Anne Agajanian,
I grew up in Cherry Hill, NJ and later attended Rutgers University in New Brunswick, where I received my bachelor’s degree in Psychology and Art History. I later attended Rowan University in Glassboro, where I earned my Masters of Science in Teaching as a Teacher of the Handicapped and Elementary Education. I also hold a certification in Psychology and am highly qualified in English and History instruction.
I began teaching at Northern Burlington high school in 2003. Throughout my years at Northern, I have primarily taught 9th grade English and World History as both an In-Class Resource and Replacement level teacher. In previous years, I have also taught United States History II and General Psychology. During my tenure, I have served as the advisor for the S.T.O.P. club for 7 years and also as a Class Advisor for 3 years. Although I am not currently an advisor, I look forward to again being involved in student activities in the future. For now, my after school hours are focused on being a mom to my twin girls, Sarah and Chelsea.
I believe in the importance of focusing on the individual learner and value differentiation of instruction in order to encourage every student to succeed. Everyone learns differently and cultivating individual strengths is the best method by which to allow every student to shine in their own way. Northern Burlington has been a wonderful teaching environment and allowed me opportunities to inspire the desire in my students to become lifelong learners and informed and involved citizens.
