Hello, my name is Mrs. Jillian Urso,
I have been teaching since 2010, and I have had the pleasure of spending the majority of those years at Northern Burlington. My background and degree is in the field of Business. I graduated from Rutgers in 2005, magna cum laude, with a degree in Business Management and pursued a career in the real estate industry before transitioning into the teaching community. I still currently work within my family’s business in real estate.
I began my teaching career as a middle school math and life science teacher in Florida. After two years of valuable experience, I left Florida and found Northern Burlington. As a member of the business department, I collaborate with my colleagues while teaching Personal Economics (financial literacy) and Business Concepts and Law. I have also coached the freshman field hockey team and advised FBLA before entering graduate school.
The classes I teach involve self-exploration, academic awareness and financial literacy concepts. The business courses are college-focused and students may earn college credits for the equivalent of an Introduction to Business class. They are also student driven and project based which teaches time management and valuable real world working skills.
On a personal note, my interests involve spending time with and taking care of my family, cooking, softball, and reading. Feel free to contact me via email at firstname.lastname@example.org.
