I graduated from Temple University where I majored in Education. After graduating, I taught Special Education in The Philadelphia School District for 10 years. I always liked to help all of my students and decided to pursue a career in counseling.
I graduated from Rowan University in May, 2000 and began my career as a counselor at Northern that September.
I have never had a dull day! I enjoy helping students make the transition from Elementary school to Middle School.
While at Northern I have been involved in various programs to help students have a successful time in Middle School- I was involved in Springboard, Adventure Club, Welcome Wagon, Peer Mediation and currently am the advisor of the GSA Club (Gay/Straight Alliance).
I was awarded a mini-grant from our PTSC which allowed me to purchase books for my Grief & Loss Group. In addition to the Grief & Loss group, I also run groups for students who have anxiety and participate in our military student groups run by our MFLC(Military Family Life Counselor).
This year I am proud to to award a camp scholarship to one of my students along with an “I Care” award from my membership with BSCA (Burlington County School Counselor Association).
I love being a counselor and helping students.
